The Things that Matter in Life

2022 Visual Arts

This exhibition showcases artwork created by the elders from Katherine Low Settlement's Age Well Programme, made through the Covid-19 pandemic. Many of the participants had never painted or drawn before. The work in the exhibition displays autobiographical pieces about the lives of older key members of the Battersea community. The project has been curated by Adalberto Lonardi and supported by the RCA’s Community Engagement Programme. The Show is part of the Age of Creativity Festival, a national event by Age UK that supports older people across England to have more inclusive opportunities to get creative.
